Our Mission
Our mission is to offer Jewish classes and programming to the
Jews of Hampton Roads regardless of affiliation or practice. Our philosophy is
one that is Torah based and one that centers on gaining spirituality through
personal growth.
What is a "Kollel?"
A Kollel is a group of Rabbis who are dedicated to
furthering their education while at the same time offering Jewish educational
opportunities to students. The "Kollel" concept is an ancient one based on the
idea that every community should have Torah scholars studying at all times. The
Rabbis of the Norfolk Area Community Kollel spend time learning and teaching.
Their goal is to offer the classes and programming that students want. If you
have any ideas or would like to see a class given on a particular subject please
contact the Kollel.

of your choice we are available to do that as well. Kollel rabbis and their
